Important Questions to ask when designing artwork for Envelopes:

How is the envelope going to be manufactured?

Will it be printed on an offset or a flexo press?

Will it be printed on a made up envelope, a block sheet, a web roll or a die cut?

Will the envelope have one or more windows? If so, will the windows affect the printing?

Does the design include bleeds? If so, how might they affect the manufacturing process?

These are all questions that cause the artwork to change.

It is always a good idea to request a layout and a sample envelope.
